Brooklyn Raised, Grenada Born7/31/2023 I am a Black, female physician, born in Grenada and raised in Brooklyn.
I embody the full spectrum of expertise needed as an academic scholar. I am an educator and mentor with strong research skills. I work clinically as a primary care physician seeing adult patients. This represents my ikigai, as I apply a humanistic approach to care for a diverse group of patients. I learn from them as much as they learn from me. As an author of the children’s book, Our Grandparents are Different from Us, I use my personal experiences to create this piece that I will use to bring families across the generations together. This book is for mom’s and mom figures and father and father figures because it take a village to raise a child.
